Nate Miles named FirstThursday Seattle’s 2011 Man of the Year

FirstThursday Seattle will honor Nate Miles as its 2011 Man of the Year, at FTS’ VIP Black Community Business Empowerment Reception, Thursday, January 6, 6PM at the Rainier Vista Boys &Girls Club, 4520 Martin Luther King Jr. Way South.

Nate is a long time advocate for Blacks and other people of color in Seattle, and the Pacific Northwest. A native of Pasco, WA, Nate is a graduate of the University of Washington and Director, Government Affairs, Western Region, Eli Lilly. A tireless and unsung leader, Nate gives unselfishly of his time and money assisting many non-profit organizations. Nate and his wife Leslie reside in Bellevue with their three children.

Nate is one of the Founding members and current Board Chair of FirstThursday Seattle and serves on the Board of Directors of many organization. A gifted speaker, Nate hosts or MC’S many community, non-profit and political fund raisers.

Nate deserves to be named the 2011 Man of the Year and I am very sure our community of color will all support this wonderful and well deserved honor for Nate Miles. Nate is there when we need him.
